Your Privacy Choices
Today's Word (Neuvikon) · Last updated 19 September 2026
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. There is nothing here to opt out of, because the app has no accounts, no advertising and no tracking. The choices below are the ones that actually exist.
Your choices
- Erase everything. Settings → Erase everything deletes your progress from our database and clears the identifier and preferences from your device. Immediate, and not reversible.
- Turn off reminders. Revoke notification permission in iOS Settings, or change the reminder time in the app's Settings. Reminders are scheduled on your device, so no reminder data ever reaches us.
- Change your language. Settings → language. We keep only the current choice, not a history of them.
- Ask us. Write to neuvikon@gmail.com with any request about your data. Note that we hold nothing that identifies you, so we generally cannot match an email address to a stored record — which is why deletion is built into the app instead.
Categories of data and how it is used
We collect a random device-generated identifier, your language and reminder preferences, and your learning progress. All of it is used only to run the app for you: to show the right word, translate it into your language, remind you at the hour you picked, and bring your weakest words back in the practice test. It is never used for advertising, profiling or any purpose you would not expect from a vocabulary app.
Sale, sharing and tracking
We have not sold personal information in the preceding twelve months. The app shows a Google AdMob banner, and every request for it is made as a non-personalised one, so your device's advertising identifier is not used to build or draw on a profile for cross-context behavioural advertising. We hold no analytics or tracking SDK of any kind, and nothing we store about your learning is ever passed to an advertiser.
